Adventure Island is a popular day trip destination for students located Opposite Rithala Metro Station, Sector-10, Rohini New Delhi. It was organized for the students of classes 6 to 12. Travelling is a relaxing experience that teaches us a lot. It helps in experiencing and learning social skills, appreciating and understanding the joy of togetherness.

Trip was not only to inculcate adventure in the students but also to motivate them to learn sportsmanship and encourage their creativity to come forth. The bus journey, beyond doubt, are always entertaining and cheering. The first glance of the island left everyone wonderstruck and dazed. Everyone got a purple band tied on their wrists at the entrance as an entry pass. Then the students walked forward over the bridge and entered into the island area. The area has been divided into Metro Walk and the Adventure Island. There were a large number of rides, the Side Winder and the Twister were the best among those. The refreshments and the Beverages were appetizing. After this great evening, we returned around 5:00 pm. Truly, it was an adventurous day for everyone.

“Nothing ever becomes real till it is experienced”

Excursions and educational trips provide opportunities for experiential learning and are an integral part of the curriculum at Delhi Public School Hathras. In its endeavour to focus on the holistic development of children and to make learning fun, an excursion to Chail-Shimla -Chandigarh was organized from 21 March to 26 March, 2023 for classes VII-VIII.

The group assembled at the school to board the AC coaches to Shimla. They boarded the buses with excitement. The early morning rays woke everyone up to the picturesque views of green pastures, mountains and valleys. They cherished the beauty of pine, deodar, oak forests and swaying fields enroute. The beautiful drive to Shimla was enjoyed by one and all. The weather welcomed the group with a soft breeze and drizzle which added to the pleasure.

The trip started with Chail Camp on Mar 22. Chail Camp Resort is a brand new camping resort. In Chail Camp, the students enjoyed different kind of activities like- Introduction of rock-climbing equipments, knot-tying practice and tent pitching demo, rope- climbing, dance and music etc. On 23 March, the students were involved in wall climbing, evening games, wood collections and campfire activities.

On Mar 24, the students went to Shimla via kufri and visited Zoo, Church, Watch Tower and Mall Road etc.

On 25 Mar, they moved from Shimla to Chandigarh and visited Rock Garden and Sukhna Lake there. It is an amazing garden which is made with waste materials. Then they returned back to school on Mar 26.

The enthusiastic troop enriched with experiences, memories and new learning’s, reached school where the parents were waiting to embrace their bundles of joy. The four day trip ended on a happy and contented note where each participant returned with memories to cherish forever.

“A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles”

The students of Class IX to XII were taken for a trip to Adventure Island, Rohini, New Delhi. With their bags packed with games, food and a lot more, the students were very happy and excited to go for the trip. On reaching the adventure park, they were entertained by alluring rides. The day was well spent interacting with each other. The students were at their best, behaviour was exemplary and followed the instructions given to them They enjoyed mouthwatering lunch followed by refreshments. The visit was a memorable one and it motivated the students to be responsible and maintain discipline around them.

The risk taken in the process of being adventurous is worth it. The schedules of the routine life often become too hectic, and we give in. An adventure will offer you just the opposite of it. An adventure can also be a great way to bond with friends. It was a wonderful opportunity for all the students to strengthen their bonds and everyone came back to the school rejuvenate.

The trip gifted students with a lot of adventure, fun-filled danger and excitement.

“Do not keep children to their studies by compulsion but by play”

This philosophy found expression in visit of our students from Class Nursery to Class II to “Teerthdham Mangalayatan” Aligarh on 14.11.2022 which is a unique temple. Teerthdham Magalayatanam complex located on Aligarh – Agra highway on the outskirt of Aligarh, is considered as one of the largest Jain religious centers of its kind in the country. The famous campus; dedicated to Jain Religion, has 5 temples inside the complex. Students Visited to temple for Dhanya Munidasha Caves. They had served sancks with lips smacking.

School had organized an educational-cum-fun tour to KidZania Noida for the students of class III to V on 01 November, 2022. Unlike any traditional theme park or entertainment zones, Kidzania provides an environment that empowers kids to explore the wide and amazing world and challenge themselves and open their minds to new experiences. It is a Global Indoor Entertainment and Learning Centre for students that emulates the working of a real city built to scale for kids. Kidzania is like a big city for children in which they can choose to participate in their choice activities that teach them about real-life jobs or professions, developing key skills like – Psychomotor, Cognitive, Emotional, Social and Language Skills.

There were many activities in which children were completely engrossed. Kidzania had mini set ups of dominos, petrol pump, big bazaar, salons, dubbing centre etc. The children became fire fighters, police officers, dentist, delivery personals etc. They also made chocos, donouts, kinderjoy, frooti, candies, pizza etc on their own. These all activities stimulated their creative thinking skills and boosted their self-confidence. The children earned money which are called Kidzos for doing different work. They bought things with those Kidzos. In some activities they had to spend their Kidzos too. The students were ready to take up any challenge that came their way to earn Kidzos. The activities offered a truly unique experience and an interactive learning opportunity for all the kids. It fostered a hands-on approach for the children to explore different occupations and careers. Through this experience, they also learnt real life values, social skills and team work. The tour was truly a memorable one with lots of new experiences for the kids to cherish for a long time to come.

Learning through recreation is self learning. The school excursion is an important and effective means of motivating students and engaging them in active learning experiences. An excursion is not just a pleasure trip, it is an extension of the classroom. It is a direct source of knowledge for students and acquaints them with first hand information. It helps in the development of power of observation, exploration an inculcation of values like tolerance. Inter-personal relationships and empathy for others.

As a part of outsource activity a recreational picnic was arranged for the students of Class VI to VIII on 20 October, 2022, Thursday. The venue was Khet Camp-An Adventure Village, Greater Noida. Students were all set to have a fantastic day-out with their friends and teachers. The travel gave some personal time for the students to be with their friends reaching the venue, a perfect breakfast was awaiting. The students were then divided into smaller groups as there were many activities.

The students were served with delicious lunch at the right interval and the special day ended with some snacks and gifts for the students. The students were very thankful to the principal for arranging such a memorable and funtabulous day-out. All the students reached home safely with lot of joy and excitement.

07 December, 2017 an educational visit was organized for students of Grade 9 accompanied by the Teachers of DPS Hathras to Mushroom factory situated near village- Chandapa in district Hathras.

Mr. Dinesh Sharma, Supervisor and head of mushroom cultivation team guided students and explained them the method of cultivation of edible mushroom and students got to learn how waste management system takes place.
