Teacher’s Day is celebrated every year on 5th September to appreciate the role played by teachers in the life of students–the leaders of tomorrow. The day is also celebrated to pay tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of the country and a visionary educator. Teachers provide the power of knowledge, education and create possibilities for better future. The whole event was meticulously planned by students of Class XII. Long before the day of the function, the students have been busy preparing to make the day a success.
The programme was hosted by the Student Council. The programme commenced with a Sarawati Vandana. This was followed by a prayer song in the mesmerizing voice. Ms. Neena Chaku, Principal in her address urged the teachers to add value to their pedagogy through experimental learning. As the speech concluded, the cultural program began which included a dance performance, a comedy skit presented by students from Class IX to XII, and a song thanking the teachers. Indo-Western dance performance, Musical Chair and Ramp walk added spice to the programme. Games were conducted for the teachers and prizes were distributed to the winners soon after the games concluded. All teachers cheered and motivated their colleagues with a wide smile.
The entire programme was applauded by everyone present and will always remain a beautiful memory in the hearts of one and all present.
